How to Apply for a Position with AFNWC
Ready to start a career with a mission? Use the Career Fields page to find the opportunity that’s right for you. Here’s an overview of the USAJOBS application process once you click "Apply Now":
- Before starting the application process, be sure to have the job description and application instructions on hand. It’s important that you’ve read the job description carefully, meet every requirement and are prepared with any additional documents you’ll need to send along with your resume.
- Once you click "Apply Now", you’ll need to sign up and create a profile at USAJOBS.gov. If you’ve already done so, then attach your resume and keep going. You’ll be redirected to the “Application Manager” site once this step is complete.
- Next, you’ll need to complete your application on the site, and when you’re finished, click “Submit My Answers.” Check the Application Package Status page to make sure you’ve completed all the steps.
- You’ll have the opportunity to update your application and add any required documentation until the job is closed. You can check on your application status any time by logging in to your USAJOBS account.
Upon successful submission of your resume, you will receive a confirmation email that the application was received. You will also receive and email notification if you are referred to the selecting official for consideration and if you were selected or not selected. Your application may be reviewed to verify that you meet the qualifications and eligibility requirements for the position prior to issuing lists to a selecting official. If further evaluation or interviews are required, you will be contacted by the selecting official.
